Emjay Anthony is Hector in Insurgent (Divergent 2)
Emjay Anthony is set to play Hector, the little brother of Shauna and Lynn in Insurgent. Lynn will be played by Rosa Salazar. Check the news here. Meanwhile, Shauna is yet to be cast.

Rosa Salazar is Lynn in Insurgent (Divergent 2)
Rosa Salazar will join the cast of Insurgent, the sequel to Divergent, as Lynn. She will play as a fellow Dauntless faction member. Lynn will become one of Tris' friends in Insurgent.
Canadian actress Salazar was popularly known for her works in Parenthood and voicing the Roller Derby Girl in the animated movie Epic.

Akiva Goldsman Will Rewrite the Script for Insurgent
OSCAR winning script writer Akiva Goldsman will rewrite the script for Insurgent, the second book of the Divergent series. Goldsman was known for his work in I Robot, Winter's Tale and A Beautiful Mind. The script for Insurgent was initially written by Brian Duffield. Vanessa Taylor and Evan Daugherty were the ones who wrote the script for Divergent, which will come out this March 2014.

Allegiant Movie to be Released on March 18, 2016 - Won't be Split into Two
Indiewire has reported that the third and final book of Veronica Roth's Divergent trilogy will be released on the 18th of March 2016. Lionsgate has also confirmed that Allegiant won't be split into two parts, unlike a lot of young adult (YA) book-to-film adaptations like Mockingjay (Hunger Games trilogy), Breaking Dawn (Twilight Saga), and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter series).
Last year, it has also been reported that Neil Burger will not return to direct the sequel of Divergent, which is Insurgent (to be released March 15, 2015). Brian Duffield will write the screenplay of the second book's adaptation to the big screen. Lionsgate is still in search for Insurgent's director since Burger won't be able to have enough time preparing for the sequel that is already slated on the 15th of March 2015.

Insurgent Movie Already in the Running - Screenwriter is Hired
Deadline has reported that a screenwriter is already hired to pen the movie adaptation of the second book of the Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth. Cameras had already start rolling for the first Divergent movie, which started last month in Chicago. The first still featuring Shailene Woodley as Tris has been released but filming is still ongoing. This is a very great news my fellow initiates! This just means that Lionsgate is trusting that the movie franchise is going to be huge because of the fandom!
Anyway, Brian Duffield will write the script for Insurgent, the second book of the Divergent trilogy. His works include Dinosaur Enthusiast and Cibopath.
