Robert Schwentke to Direct Insurgent Movie

The second installment of the Divergent series, Insurgent, will be directed by Robert Schwentke, Empire Online reported. Divergent's director Neil Burger (Limitless) will not be returning back to continue directing the rest of the series' movies. Schwentke was known for his works in RIPD and Red. 

Lionsgate executive Erik Feig has said that:

“Robert, with whom we have already had a successful relationship, has proven a master storyteller in multiple genres and we can't wait to see what he brings to Veronica Roth's next installment of theDivergent series," said Lionsgate's president of production Erik Feig. He also announced two new exec producers in Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman
